The Neighborhoods

Downtown Peekskill gains most of its charm from historical buildings and the fact that it’s so walkable. Drive around town and you’re almost certain to see another Peekskill staple: beautiful and classic Victorian homes. Art lovers will delight in access to galleries, plus boutiques and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. You’d be doing yourself a disservice to skip a visit to Peekskill Coffee House while you’re in town. Up the road, you’ll also find BeanRunner Café. Peekskill Riverwalk

Connecting several riverfront parks, this 2-mile walk along the shoreline of Peekskill is truly special and one you’re sure to return to throughout the seasons. In the summer, experience beautiful views and breezes. In the winter, watch eagles play over icy river vistas. All year long you’ll find this is the place to hone your photography skills – the sunsets against the backdrop of the Hudson Highlands are simply mesmerizing.

 

Blue Mountain Reservation

Looking for a beautiful place to hike, bike, and connect with nature? Blue Mountain Reservation fits your order and is just one of a handful of Westchester parks located in Peekskill. Acquired in 1926, it’s roughly 1,538 acres and features miles of trails, plus challenging hikes to the tops of two large peaks, Mt. Spitzenberg and Blue Mountain.
